Firstly, You can operate your alarm as normal. It will only affect the monitoring of
your alarm via your phone.
Whether your monitored back to a central station, or receiving your alarms via your mobile phone it will be affected.
In certain cases, the dialling function will work over NBN, but it is often unreliable.
You have a few choices.
# You can install a GSM dialler. This will transmit your alarms via the cellular network.
This is the most cost effective alternative. Cost around $400 Installed.
# OR, you can change over the control unit and install an IP module. This will connect
to the NBN network, in this case you will receive push notifications over your phone.
Also, via an App you can arm/disarm your alarm. Cost $800 installed.
